SUMMARY:2019 Children's Breakfast With Santa – Victoria
DESCRIPTION:MoveUP members and their family are invited to the annual children’s breakfast with Santa in Victoria. \nThe event will take place at the Sandman Victoria from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on December 1. \nThere will be entertainment and lots of fun activities for the children. \nSanta will be there\, along with his elves\, for balloon animals and face painting. \nNote: Member may invite one additional adult and up to 4 children and/or grandchildren under 12 years of age. Members must attend. \nRegistration fee for this event is one non-perishable food item per attending adult and one new unwrapped toy per attending child. \nDeadline to register is November 22nd 2019. \nPlease click HERE to register. \nSpace is limited so please registered early.

SUMMARY:Job Steward Level 2 Training
DESCRIPTION:This course is open to all job stewards\, executive councillors and board members who have not previously taken this course\, and who have completed Job Steward Level 1\, or are currently registered for Job Steward Level 1 on November 16th to 17th\, 2019. \nDates:\nSaturday\, December 7\, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Lunch provided)\nSunday\, December 8\, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n(Registrants must be in attendance for the whole course) \nLocation:\nMoveUP Office\n#301 – 4501 Kingsway\nBurnaby\, BC \nIf you wish to attend\, please register no later than Friday\, November 15\, 2019. Previous classes have filled up quickly so register early. Late registrations may not be accepted. \nMoveUP will provide travel arrangements as well as a leave of absence should you require them. If your employer needs more than three weeks’ notice for leave requests\, please contact Joanne at the time of registration to ensure that the request is sent within the timelines of your specific collective agreement. \nThe on-line registration form can be found here. \nYou will receive a confirmation letter to the email address provided no later than November 22\, 2019 should you be accepted for this training. Please note that the cancellation deadline is 4:30 p.m. Friday\, November 29\, 2019. DESCRIPTION:You and your family are invited to join us for the MoveUP annual Children’s Breakfast with Santa. This fun event is ideal for members and their families with children 12 and under. \nSanta will be there\, along with his elves\, for balloon animals and face painting. \nThis year we will have two breakfast seating’s – one at 8:30 a.m. and the second at 11:30 a.m. \nDue to the high number of expected registrants each member may invite one adult family member and up to four children from their immediate family\, ages 12 and under. \nRegistration donation for this event is $15 for each member.  Registration includes one family adult guest and up to 4 children\, 12 years of age and under. \nEach child guest is asked to bring a new\, unwrapped toy to be donated to the BC Federation of Labour annual Christmas dinner for residents of the downtown eastside community. \nYour registration fee of $15 will be donated to the lower mainland food bank to help families in need. \n     Date:         Saturday\, December 7\, 2019 \n     Where:    Firefighters’ Hall\, 6515 Bonsor Avenue\, Burnaby\, BC \n     Time:       First Seating – 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  \nSecond Seating – 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. \nHow to Register: We have set up two Eventbrite registration links so you can choose which seating you wish to attend. Follow the appropriate link below to register. \nRegistration for event will go on sale at 7:00 pm – Thursday November 6.
