DESCRIPTION:MoveUP events and social planning committee are offering members the opportunity to see a Victoria Royals Hockey game on November 2\, 2019. \nVictoria Royals vs Medicine Hat Tigers \nDetails as follows: \nGame Night: Saturday\, November 2\, 2019 \nDoors Open at 6:00 pm (game starts at 7:05 pm) \nLocation:  Save-On-Food Memorial Arena\, 1925 Blanshard Street\, Victoria\, BC \nTicket Details: Four tickets per member (member and three guests) – Member MUST attend game with their guests. \nTicket Price: $15 per person – this includes your admission ticket and a $15 food/beverage (non-alcoholic) voucher \nWe only have 100 tickets to this event – our events have been selling out – Tickets will go on sale on October 11th at 7:00pm please click HERE at that time to register for tickets. \nThe arena promotional theme for that night is: \nTurn Back the Clock Night – Saturday November 2nd\nTurn back your clocks and turn up to our annual Turn Back the Clock Night! Reach into your closet for your flannel shirt\, overalls and scrunchies as we turn it back to the 90’s for this fun and exciting night of hockey and questionable fashion choices. SUMMARY:Job Steward Level 1 Training
DESCRIPTION:MoveUP is offering level 1 training for all job stewards\, executive councillors and executive board members who have not previously attended this course. If you are interested in attending this training and are not yet a board approved steward you can register for this training now and reach out afterwards to your MoveUP vice-president. \nAttendees must attend both day of classes. \nDates: \nSaturday\, November 16\, 2019 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (lunch will be provided)\nSunday\, November 17\, 2019 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. \nLocation: \nMoveUP – 301-4501 Kingsway\, Burnaby\, BC \nPrevious classes have filled up quickly so register early. MoveUP will provide travel arrangements as well as a leave of absence should you require them. If your employer needs more than three weeks notice for leave requests\, please contact Joanne at the time of registration to ensure that the request is sent within the timelines of your specific collective agreement. \nThe on-line registration form can be found here. \nYou will receive a confirmation letter no later than October 18\, 2019 should you be accepted for this training. Please note that the cancellation deadline is 4:30 p.m. November 6\, 2019. \nA reminder that the next job steward level 2 training will be held on December 7 to 8\, 2019. Registration for this course will open in mid-October. In order to register for level 2 training\, you must have completed the level 1 training. Registrants to the November job steward level 1 training are eligible to register for the December training.
