Notice of Executive Councillor By-Election – Going To a Vote: EC Areas #1418-#1419

To: MoveUP members in EC Areas # 1418-#1419

To MoveUP members employed at AVISCAR-Budget Group in Vancouver, Victoria, Richmond Airport and Richmond Admin.
These areas have two at-large positions. One of these councillor positions is currently filled.
One Position Term Ending: April 30, 2023
In the recent executive councillor by-election, the deadline for nomination forms to be received by the Returning Officer was Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. At that time, nomination forms to fill the above position were received from the following members:
- Shon Nandan
- Sylvia Smoliga
Balloting for this position will be done by electronic vote. Attached are photos and bios of the two candidates as provided as well as instructions on how to register for voting on the Member Portal.
How to Register to Vote:
All members in good standing of AVISCAR EC areas #1418-#1419 must ensure they have registered on the Member Portal by the dates listed below in order to vote. You will need your MoveUP member ID number and a personal email address to register if you have not already done so.
Deadline to set up your Member Portal account for this election is 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020. After that deadline you will not be able to register and vote. If you have any questions or need to find out what your membership ID number is contact membership@moveuptogether.ca.
Once you have registered on the Member Portal you only need to log in on the day voting starts (June 1) and you will be directed to the secure voting link.
Important Voting Dates:
- Member Portal registration deadline for this election is 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27
- The on-line voting website opens 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2020
- Voting ends at 4:30 pm on Monday, June 15, 2020
