CIATU Bargaining Update #1
August 10, 2023
To: All MoveUP members at CIATU
The Union bargaining committee and the Employer have met for collective bargaining at the IUOE 115 offices and the MoveUP Offices in Burnaby on July 12, 2023, and August 9, 2023, respectively.
The parties have discussed non-monetary items primarily thus far. The parties have signed off proposals on:
- housekeeping items
- improved language on
- management rights
- the grievance procedure– doubling the time in which to initially file a grievance.
Collective bargaining will reconvene in September, to conclude non-monetary proposals and discuss monetary proposals. Your bargaining committee is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
