Neighbourhood Housing Society – Bargaining Committee Election

To: All MoveUP members at Neighbourhood Housing Society
In preparation for bargaining your first collective agreement, an election was held to determine who would serve on your bargaining committee.
MoveUP has determined that two (2) members will form your committee, along with your union representative. A request for nominations was sent out and three (3) members were nominated.
The three (3) members nominated were:
- Victoria Mansfield
- Jasdeep Kaur
- Ming Chan
An election was held and the voting deadline was March 10, 2023.
We are pleased to announce that the MoveUP Returning Officer has counted the votes and Jasdeep Kaur has been elected to serve on your bargaining committee. The remaining position has been undecided due to a tie vote between Victoria Mansfield and Ming Chan each receiving the same number of votes.
In order to determine who will be the second person to serve on your bargaining committee, we will need to hold another election which will only have two (2) names on the ballot.
Details of the vote will be sent out in the coming days, with the dates and times of when voting opens and closes.
If you have not already done so, please ensure that you are registered for the member portal so that you have an opportunity to vote.
