Coast Mountain Bus – Bargaining Update #6 – January 20, 2020

Your Bargaining Committee and the Employer met to continue collective bargaining from January 10, 13-17, 2020. The Committee made substantial progress in non-monetary discussions, whereby, the Bargaining Committee was able to get agreement on a significant number of the Union’s language proposals. The Union will be returning to the bargaining table for the week of February 10th, 2020. The Union anticipates tabling our monetary package to the Employer during the week of February 10, 2020.
Your Bargaining Committee has also been hearing from concerned members about the length that this round of collective bargaining is taking. In an effort for continued engagement with the membership, the Bargaining Committee will be setting up Bargaining Information Sessions at all CMBC depots, Gateway and transit security during the month of February. We encourage you to attend and let us know what your concerns are. Your entire Bargaining Committee will be in attendance.
