Bargaining

Enterprise – Bargaining Update

August 28, 2019

To: All MoveUP members at Enterprise

Your Bargaining Committee met with management on August 26th and 27th in order to continue the negotiation of the collective agreement renewal.

The parties continued the process of working toward a recommended settlement.  Unfortunately after two long days we were not able reach an agreement.  Your Committee is determined to reach the best possible agreement and we did not believe we would be able to reach that point when we concluded.

Significant progress was made on several items such as casual seniority, layoffs, overtime meal receipts, and lead premiums.  The parties are now addressing the remaining monetary items.

Your Committee is currently working on establishing further dates for the purpose of continued bargaining.  We are aware that bargaining at Enterprise has traditionally been concluded sooner in the process but as mentioned we want to ensure that we agree to the best possible terms and this has proven to be time consuming.

Although the Collective Agreement expired on July 31st, it continues to remain in effect until a new agreement is reached.  We have also advised management of our position that any wage settlement would be retroactive to the date of expiry.

Thank you for your continued support of your Bargaining Committee.

If you have any questions about the above or anything else, please see your Bargaining Committee members or contact Shawn at the MoveUP office.

In Solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee
