Notice of By-Election – Nominations Open – Executive Councillor #1456

To: All MoveUP members in EC areas #1455 to 1458
EC Area #1456 represents members employed with Coast Mountain Bus Company.
There are four at-large positions for EC areas #1455, 1456, 1457 and 1458. Three of these councillor positions are currently filled.
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
Due to the resignation of Petro Koromvokis and in accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
