Victoria Shipyards - Tentative Agreement Ratified by Membership

To: All MoveUP members at Victoria Shipyards

A majority of members of the various unions representing employees at Victoria Shipyards voted in favour of accepting the proposed terms of settlement.

Ballots cast by MoveUP members were counted on June 30, 2017 by the MoveUP Returning Officer. MoveUP members at Victoria Shipyards voted in favour of accepting the proposed terms of settlement.

The results are as follows:

Accept Proposed Terms of Settlement: 7
Reject Proposed Terms of Settlement:  0
Spoiled Ballots:                                        0
Total Ballots Cast:                                    7

Once the Collective Agreement has been updated with the agreed changes and the parties have reviewed and signed, copies will be provided to the membership. In the meantime, the Memorandum of Agreement and the Collective Agreement to which the changes will be made can be found on our website under the tab “Your Workplace”.
