BCH - FCS Concerns Regarding the Transition to BC Hydro

Monday, October 31, 2016
To all MoveUP Members in Field Customer Services, BC Hydro:

The Union has been hearing from Field Service Representatives (FSR) regarding concerns with the move over to BC Hydro. The Union and the employer are planning to meet on a weekly basis to discuss how the transition of work over to BC Hydro is going and the concerns raised by Field Customer Service (FCS) members.

The first meeting will be October 31, 2016. The Union will forward the following issues that members have contacted the Union about:

  • Where to find forms to fill out for reimbursement for medical, dental expenses and paramedical expenses;
  • How hours for part time regular and casuals are scheduled;
  • Whether sufficient time is being given to complete mandatory policy training;
  • Whether sufficient time is being allowed in the morning to properly prepare for the workday.

If you have any concerns or questions that you would like addressed, please send an email to bchmail@moveuptogether.ca and the Union will bring your concerns forward at our meetings with the employer.

In Solidarity,

Barbara Junker, Union Representative
Tony Geluch, Union Representative
