ABSBC - TIME OFF BANKS - Article 11.04 (c) RWWL Bank and (d) Vacation Bank – Recent Changes

In the last round of bargaining the parties renegotiated the time off banks article, which resulted in limits to the amount of RWWL and vacation an employee may bank at any given time.  For RWWL days, the limit may not exceed 17 days.  For vacation, employees with less than 5 years of service will not be able to bank vacation and employees with 5 years or more years of service may bank up to 5 days of vacation per year, up to their total annual allotment.  In both cases, employees who have RWWL or vacation in excess of these amounts are not required to use or get such time paid out.  However, such employees will not be entitled to bank further RWWL or vacation time. 

Since the implementation of the new language, we have discovered that in some instances members have had the employer draw from their banked time off instead of from current RWWL and vacation days.  If you discover that your banked time off has been depleted in error, please contact a Job Steward or the Union so that we may advise the Employer to correct your entry.
